After securing the services of Craig Eastmond on a permanent deal, Colchester United’s assistant manager Mark Kinsella has confirmed that the club are interested in signing Sanchez Watt who was on loan with Eastmond.
Speaking to the media, Kinsella said
“We would definitely be interested in Sanchez.
“We’ve got Craig Eastmond and the pair play off one another.
“They’ve been at Arsenal together for a number of years and they bring the best out of one another’s games.
“If we could bring the pair of them to Colchester on a permanent basis, it would be fantastic.”
Sanchez Watt arrived at Arsenal when he was discovered aged just seven amid interest from Barcelona.
A product of Arsenal’s youth academy, Watt signed his first professional contract with the club in 2007 but he has failed to develop as the club had hoped and after a number of season’s out on loan, Arsenal are now ready to let the player leave on a permanent basis.
